"The Rainbow Bridge"
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its
many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge, there is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys
with lush, green grass. When a cherished dog passes away, they go to this place. There is always
food, water, and sunshine, and everyone is warm and comfortable. All who have been ill and old are
restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just
as we remember them in the days gone by. They play all day with each other.
There is only one small thing missing. Your dog is not with you, the special person who loved her on
Earth, and had to be left behind.
So, she'll run and play until the day comes when she'll suddenly stop and look off into the distance.
Her bright eyes will stare! Her nose will twitch! Her ears will go up! Her eager body will begin
to quiver! Suddenly, she'll run from the group, flying over the grass, her legs carrying her faster
and faster...
You have been spotted! And when you and your special friend meet, you'll cling together in joyous
reunion. Your face will be kissed again and again and again; your hands will again caress the beloved
head, and her tail will wag faster and harder than it ever has before! You'll gcae once more into the
adoring eyes of your trusted dog, so long ago gone from your life, but never absent from your heart.
Then you'll cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated...
