As a Maltese breeder for many years, I'd like to share with you some letters,
cards, pictures, and references from some of the wonderful people who have
adopted my Maltese puppies.
If you would like your reference, testimonial and/or picture of your Maltese
from Anna listed here, please e-mail me
and I'll add it to the site!
Kassie
"Dear Anna,
I want you to know how much we love our new puppy, Kassie. She is very social and that tells us that you gave her a lot of love and freedom to explore and play. She travels great, too. It truly shows that you do not raise the "kennel" dogs, and that they are part of your family and not a "farm." My vet thought she was as cute as a button and is looking forward to overseeing her growth and health needs. Thank you again for all of the pictures and phone calls to keep me updated as Kassie was growing and getting ready to come to California to be a part of our family.
Sincerely,
Linda Baxter

Mac
"Anna,
Just a note to say I'm thrilled with my baby dog, Mac (a male).
As you know, I received a Maltese female for Christmas. She was a sick puppy, so I returned her
to the people after a week. I cried all the way home because I liked her. So a month later, I went
on the computer -- and there was your Web site. I said my prayers and dialed the number. You said all
you had was a male, so I said I'll come look. I walked in and Mac barked, and he became mine within
20 minutes.
He sleeps at my head. My husband calls him my hat. He licks and snuggles all night long. But my favorite
thing is the car. Mac loves the car. All I have to do is have the keys in my hand, and he's at the
door, telling me, "Don't forget me. I know the front seat is empty -- and if not, make that person
sit in the back seat!"
Mac is the funniest dog; he dances with glee at the sight of me. His hair is so soft (he makes a great
for my niece who is 3). He plays with my 2 cats. But he is king of the bed. He likes to get in bed
before my husband, and barks like crazy when my husband tries to get in.
He loves cookies whenever he thinks he is being cute (which is all the time). But one of Mac's best
qualities is having you as his Grandma, plus how close you and I have become -- fast, close friends.
It is very hard not to fall in love with the white puff of fur. As soon as he becomes a big boy,
I'd love to have him become a daddy so others can feel the love I have. Yes, it will be hard for
anyone to love their babies more than I love my Mac. He's the cutest, sweetest, smartest, softest
baby every sent from Heaven.
Love,
Cat
P.S. I'd buy from you again with every litter if I could!

Peanut
"Dear Annamaria,
I wanted to share with you my thankfulness and gratitude toward you concerning your breeding and
puppy-rearing of my Maltese, Peanut. Please feel free to use this letter as you see fit.
I have had a few Maltese dogs from California to Missouri. My little Peanut is, by far, the best mannered,
loving, compassionate Maltese I have ever had. Not only has she been the littlest Maltese at full growth,
but she has been in the best health of any of the Maltese I have had in the past. It is in my opinion due
to your personal care in the breeding, your ability to love each and every puppy that comes along as if they
were going to stay with you in your own family forever, not to mention your Maltese have never seen a kennel,
cage or box of any kind.
I was taken back by the whelping box you had made for your young ladies -- it looked to me like a honeymoon
bed that a human would have been thrilled to use, only in a smaller scale. When the puppies were old enough to
get out, they live in your house just as your own.
Thank you for the love and care you give each and every new Maltese puppy you help bring into the world, and in the
clean blood line you have created in keeping with the AKC guide lines in this precious little dogs (pedigree).
I love my little Peanut more than I could ever explain, not to mention trying to put it into words on a (piece) of
paper. I know in my heart you know just what I'm trying to say without saying another word.
We Love You,
Barbara and Peanut Markham
P.S. If you start another bloodline, please let me know so that I can purchase another precious little one."

Beau
"Hi Anna. Here are pictures of Beau that I recently took. He is getting so
big. He doesn't look like a puppy. I thought you would get a kick out of them.

Baby Girl
"Hello!
Thought you would enjoy this -- I also wanted to let you know that Baby went to the vet yesterday
for a checkup and her next set of puppy shots -- she now weighs 2-1/4 lbs! The doctor was very pleased
with her health and believes we have a very sound puppy. She is doing very well, plays a lot, is very
affectionate, has a good appetite, is doing very well with housebreaking -- and has a wonderful personality!
We are SO happy to have her as part of our family and are so happy we found your name and number so we could
find Baby Girl! We will keep you posted on her progress!
Sincerely,
Harriet and Jon"

Bosco
"Dear Anna and Jack,
Thank you so much for my little Bosco. He is so cute and very well-behaved. In
fact, he was practically house-broken when I got him at 8 wks. of age. I was amazed
with the amount of care and love that you give your puppies as well as the rest of your
Maltese families. Never in my life have I seen two people so devoted to their pets.
The portfolio of Bosco from the time he was born up to the time I bought him (very
reasonably I must say) was unreal.
Now that Bosco is 6 mos. old, he has developed a great personality. I love to hear him
bark at our cats or our parrot. He's turned into quite a young man around our house.
He thinks he's the BOSS. Anyone who comes to the door is sure to get a private investigation.
I plan on visiting some time soon so you can see for yourselves how much Bosco has grown, and
I know he wants to see his mother. So take care!

We are doing good in here. The dogs are doing fine and the kids
are really happy with them. Every day we take them for walks, and Jasmine likes
to run a lot. I hope all you(r) dogs are doing good. Here (are) some pic(s) of
Kosmo and Jasmine.
Take care and love,

Snowball
"My husband and I bought a pup named 'Snowball' from Anna Cahill in November of
last year. Snowball is a very loving, caring, smart and sweet-natured as a dog can
be. I'm very proud of the way he's turning out. Anna makes sure that all the puppies
are in excellent health before selling. She gives verbal instructions on grooming, vitamins
and feeding of the dogs. She keeps the pups in a clean environment and make(s) sure
they are kept clean.
I'm very satisfied with my pup as I can ever be. I would recommend, if wanting a Maltese,
buying one from Anna Cahill.

Miss Daisy
"Dear Anna and Jack,
Ray and I continue to be very happy with our baby, whom we've renamed 'Miss Daisy.'
Already she responds to her new name and we've been training her to come when called
and to 'SIT' (still working on that one). We use only praise for reward and ignoring
her when her behavior is unwanted is our only 'punishment.' I believe in non-violent
dog training. Ray too. Little Miss Daisy seemed completely adjusted within 3 days.
She is superb in the car on rides, and we take her everywhere. She sleeps on her own
pillow on our bed, and has chosen her 2nd favorite room in what we used to call 'The
Garden Room' -- because it has 3 sides of windows that overlooks our back yard. Now
we've renamed the room 'Daisy's Throne Room' because her other pillow and favorite
blanket sits on a small table...I brush her very very gently twice a day and she holds
very still. You can see from the photos that the groomer needed to cut her hair very short
to get rid of the mats. It makes it easier to groom at this point.
Daisy walks so well on a leash (I use a little harness instead of a collar, for fear the
collar would bother her neck). I took her to my mother's retirement home, and everyone
loves her.
Whether she's at home, walking with me down the block, or at my mom's, she is the center of
attention. Daisy also loves to snuggle with Ray, and Ray is so sweet with her.
As you can tell from this letter, Miss Daisy has our hearts, attention, and good care. She is
a happy puppy -- she wiggles with delight and gives us happy licks when we come home after
being gone a little while. She is a blessing in our lives!
Sincerely,
Anne Baker
P.S. She gets chicken and turkey that I cook for her in the crockpot. I save that for treats, and
she sure dances on her dainty tip toes!"
